At CovePoint our breeding program produces Belgian Malinois puppies and
adults that are sound in body and mind. Our goal is the combination of great
temperament and great structure. We accomplish this by breeding to the AKC,
UKC and FCI standards for structure and type and carefully evaluating the
health, temperament and type of both sire and dam. All our dogs are
registered AKC and UKC and have been DNA profiled. All have the appropriate
health certifications as soon as they are old enough. While we breed
mainly for the AKC conformation show ring, our dogs retain the great
Malinois drive that makes them so successful in Agility, Obedience, Herding
and Tracking. It is important to recognize that the correct temperament
for a Belgian Malinois is not appropriate for every lifestyle. They are
incredibly energetic and require lots of exercise and socialization.

About Us
Marti has been involved in pure bred dogs since childhood,
most recently in German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. Both Jim and Marti
have had Malinois for 14 yrs now. Jim is a past President of the
American Belgian Malinois Club (ABMC) and now serves as Second Vice
President and Legislative
Liaison. Marti is on the Judge's Education
Committee.
After Jim retired from the Navy we moved to the shores of
the beautiful Chesapeake Bay where we could have room to raise and enjoy our
Malinois. We are members of the ABMC, Talbot Kennel Club and the Belgian
Malinois Fanciers of the Potomac. |
